"New Year New Me"

For most of my life, I have heard of so many people talk about their New Year's resolutions. The gym that I go to will be packed mid-way into February because people will decide that January 1 will be the day that they decide to change their life for the better.

Well, to be honest with you, January 1 is just like any other day. Before we used the calendar that we used today, (i.e. the Gregorian calendar), the first day of the year was actually the first day of Spring. The "year" that we know of is just a benchmark that we use to quantify and keep track of time.

Therefore, if you want to change your life, don't wait until January 1 to do so. Change it today. If you want to lose weight, skip the trip to Popeye's today. If you want to travel, go on Hopper and look up those cheap deals today.

You are your new year. You determine the "year" that changes everything. Don't wait to change your destiny. The time is now.
